Our answer to this question is found in the words of Jesus: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God” (Luke 4:4). While essential charitable efforts provide the daily “bread” that permits struggling souls to live, the “word of God” inspires believers with the will to love—and to nourish hope in Christ despite hardship.
